Chinese Ambassador to the US Cui Tiankai said Thursday China will retaliate after U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memorandum that could impose tariffs on up to 60 billion U.S. dollars of imports from China.

Trump has directed U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to publish a list of proposed Chinese goods that could be subject to tariffs in 15 days, while the U.S. Treasury Department will have 60 days to propose restrictions on Chinese investment in the United States, according to the presidential memorandum.

Taiwan's famous writer, critic and historian Li Ao died at the age of 83 shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday, according to the Taipei Veterans General Hospital.

Li, who has suffered from brain tumor since July of 2015, died peacefully in the hospital, according to a statement.

A private funeral service will take place at Great St Mary's, the University Church on 31 March, Prof Hawking's family said.

An autonomous Uber car killed a woman in the street in Arizona, police said, in what appears to be the first reported fatal crash involving a self-driving vehicle and a pedestrian in the US.

Travelers who smoke on bullet trains or the no-smoking areas on ordinary trains could be banned from train travel for 180 days, according to new guidelines issued by China's government.

More than 60 percent of people born in 1990s do not get enough sleep, with those living in Beijing among those waking up earliest, a survey shows.

Chinese Medical Doctor Association’s sleep medicine specialized committee released the data from the lastest survey about sleeping patterns across the world on Sunday, three days before the 18th World Sleep Day on March 21, according to Beijing Evening News.

据北京晚报，3月21日为第18个世界睡眠日。18日，中国医师协会睡眠医学专业委员会发布了全球睡眠状况最新调查数据。

The survey on Chinese born in 1990s showed their average sleep time is 7.5 hours. More than 60 percent of them have difficulty falling asleep and 12.2 percent have insomnia.

研究结果显示，中国90后的睡眠时间平均值为7.5小时，6成以上难以入睡， 12.2%有失眠问题。

About 31 percent of them take more than 30 minutes to sleep, and 0.9 percent need sleep medicine.
